Paid Training and Work Experience
We are offering you the opportunity for 3 months of paid IT training followed by 9 months of paid work experience and training. You will work with instructors, coaches and mentors who will provide you with support you need to start your career in IT.
The first 13 weeks of paid training is designed for 3 evening classes plus assignments with a commitment of approximately 15 hours a week. Training will occur in a classroom setting where you will learn and work collaboratively with other program participants.
What Will I Learn?
This is an opportunity to learn the basics of coding, quality assurance testing, networking and IT help desk support in a supportive environment. The goal of this program is to provide you with the knowledge and experience to continue on with your IT career or additional post-secondary education.
Program participants must be Indigenous, have an interest and passion for IT and demonstrate they are committed to investing into a career in IT. Those who complete the initial 13 weeks of training will be eligible for 9 months of work experience.
